Terms & Conditions

Rates: Rates are subject to change, but will not be increased within the current calendar year. You will be given at least 30 days notice of any rate increases.
Payment: Due upon booking, via EFT to assistant@swiftcurrentchamber.ca or credit card.
Guests: We ask for your respectful discretion as it pertains to guests. You are welcome to offer your guests a beverage and ask that you keep your visiting in the Atrium area. Please limit guests in the coworking space where others are working. As a member, you are responsible for the actions of your guests and guests must follow coworking etiquette.
Coworking Etiquette
Practice leaving no traces – with the goal to leave the work space as if no one used it.
Keep a pleasant and quiet phone voice – if you need to speak up for the person on the other end of your call/meeting, please make arrangements when possible to book one of the meeting rooms.
Headsets are recommended at all times, both to block out ambient noise and to keep your conversations more private.
Be friendly and courteous – enough said.
Be aware of scents – some people are sensitive so keep that in mind and choose subtle scents at a minimum.
Be a courteous eater – working through lunch/breaks is something we do too, however please choose foods with no strong odours. When finished please remove trash/dishes to the common kitchen area.
Replace things when you use them – refill the paper when the tray is empty in the printer. When you finish the coffee, start a fresh pot.
Given the large number of people in the common space at anytime, please limit interruptions and respect that other people are working in the space.
The kitchen areas of The Chamber Hub will require that all members clean-up after themselves and their guests. Moreover, it is expected that all members will pitch-in to keep the space clean and orderly.
Code of Conduct
To foster an open and welcoming environment, Chamber staff and The Chamber Hub renters pledge to ensure a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Our standards
Behavior that contributes to creating a positive environment includes:
– Using welcoming and inclusive language
– Being respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences
– Gracefully accepting constructive criticism
– Focusing on what is best for the community
– Showing empathy towards other community members
Behavior that is not acceptable includes:
– The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
– Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
– Public or private harassment
– Publishing others’ private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
– Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting
Our responsibilities
Appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior will be taken by the CEO of the SC & District Chamber of Commerce. The CEO has the right and responsibility to temporarily or permanently revoke the membership of any Chamber Hub renter for behaviors that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Enforcement
Instances of abusive, harassing or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting ceo@swiftcurrentchamber.ca . All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. The Chamber is obligated to maintain confidentiality with regard to the reporter of the incident.
Conflict Resolution Process
If a member has a problem with the actions or behaviours of another member, they must first try to resolve the problem directly with that person or group. If the problem persists, the member will be asked to put the complaint in writing and address the note to a member of the Chamber staff team who will review the complaint, speak with both parties, and propose a solution. This solution must be followed; if the problem persists, the Chamber may choose to terminate the membership and lease of either party based on its best judgment. The Chamber is committed to ensuring fairness, transparency, accessibility and accountability in the conflict resolution process. Our hope is that all members will show flexibility, compromise and respect, and that we can work collaboratively to address and concerns.
All members enter into a social contract at The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce as well as a legal contract. You are not required to make friends, meet people or collaborate but our hope is that all of these things will happen naturally and that they are part of the reason that you are here. We hope that you will bring your positive energy and ideas to our shared environment to help us continually strengthen this community and the value of our shared space.
At minimum, you must recognize and be respectful of The Chamber Hub as a shared work space. Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to terminate the membership or lease of any individual who is deemed to be compromising the well-being of other members or the space as a whole.
Meeting Rooms
When planning and holding your meetings and events in the space, please ensure that you respect the work environment of the other members.
1. Room and desk bookings are scheduled on a first-come first-serve basis. Meeting rooms should be reserved in advance, according to the time frames established in the membership structure.
2. Members are responsible for their own set-up and clean-up of the meeting rooms.
3. The Chamber Hub is not responsible for items left unattended in the meeting rooms.
4. No permanent markers may be used at The Chamber Hub to prevent damage to the white boards.
5. Members may use the meeting room equipment at no charge; however, you are responsible for the safe use of the equipment and you are expected to return it in working order. A procedures manual for meeting room equipment is available for easy reference.

Hours
The Chamber Hub is open and staffed from 9 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday.
Security
Each member is responsible for ensuring the security of their individual work space and their equipment. Lockers are available for storage of equipment and personal items, please indicate request when booking space.
Internet
A secure internet network is provided to the users of The Chamber Hub. Downloading or uploading of unauthorized or copyright-infringing material is strictly prohibited.
Cleaning services are provided in The Chamber Hub. Members will need to be responsible for garbage, recycling and general tidying of their respective space.
Noise
At all times, noise needs to be kept at a reasonable level. A shared environment will never be completely quiet, but all members are expected to be respectful of the needs of others. Please be conscious of those around you and their need to focus on their work. Our noise policies are as follows:
1. The Chamber Hub is a place to talk, laugh, meet, connect, ramble, introduce, and engage.
2. The Chamber Hub is not a library. Members should feel comfortable doing what they need and making the noise they need to get the work done!
3. The Chamber Hub is not a meeting room. Go ahead and work with others -that’s what collaboration is all about! But longer and louder conversations should be moved to a meeting room if available.
4. Turn down ringers and turn off speaker phones. As a courtesy, please turn your cell phone ringers down while at your desk. The various ring tones are very distracting. If you expect a long or deeply personal conversation, please feel free to dip into one of the meeting rooms if they are not being used.
5. Be conscious and considerate of your fellow coworking space users. Successful co-working requires sensitivity to your impact on others. Remember, even though you just finished your big proposal, your neighbour may still have a big deadline looming.
6. Be conscious of cell-yelling. Most cell phones can handle a normal speaking voice!
7. Embrace and beware the Cone of Silence. Headphones are the best do not disturb signs. Put them on if you don’t want to be interrupted. And be respectful of those wearing headphones.
